The project saw Henderson Warnock contribute to the refurbishment of the Hotel Accommodation and indoor sports facilities at Scotland’s National Sports Centre.
The refurbishment is currently ongoing and is being carried out in a phased manner. Although this presents a bigger challenge for those on the team, it allows continued use of the space throughout the refurbishment, including residential coaching. Services to this project include the design for the new boilers, lighting, fire alarms and hot and cold water services.

Project Date_ 2006 -2007
Project Value_ £1.5 million
Project Duration_ 2 years
Henderson Warnock is responsible for the design of M&E services for this community-based project. The pool has been designed to blend in with the rural landscape as well as provide a state-of-the-art facility for locals and tourists, and the design result reflected both these requirements. The design incorporated the removal of plant from the main building to an external structure, allowing for the pool to be housed in a double height, structure which is internally adaptable for different functions. This project has benefited from energy efficient designs such as a ’green’ . |
